Klippel-Feil Syndrome is a rare disorder that is present in the upper back/neck area of the human body. This bone disorder is present at birth and are identified by three descriptions. One, a short length neck, two, an unusual low hairline, and three, restricted neck activity and movement due to the short lentgh. With these three major descriptions of Klippel-Feil Syndrome usually comes problems with hearing and breathing. Facial features may also look different and are present with this syndrome.

The causes and symptoms of this disorder are unknown. When the human is born, we immediately see that it has occurred. Klippel-Feil Syndrome happens in the early stages of fetal development. Even if most cases of Klippel-Feil Syndrome manifests spontaneously, there have been some tests determining that it can happen through family and blood. Another probable cause may be the use of alcohol and drug intake by the mother. But these are all uncertain.
